About Me

My name is Sonny Flaherty. I am a pet and wildlife photographer in Northern California. I had the opportunity to grow up with rescue animals of all sorts and have been involved with the caretaking of pets and animals professionally and for my pets at home. My mom always had to help my sister and I because we would be bring home all sorts of animals such as baby birds that fell from nests or lizards from our cat that needed help. I was always quick to help if one of our pets needed help or always would try to capture portraits and moments with my film camera when I first starting learning photography. I was fortunate to be able to work as a veterinary technician for some time and expand upon my experience and drive to help animals as an adult. I still continue to grow within the veterinary field and work with pets on an almost everyday basis!

 I want to make a career of my hobby after discovering the beauty of capturing moments in time of both animal and wildlife photography and hope to share that with those who also love animals, life, and their pets.
